How do you improve your search engine optimization on Hub-pages?

You can spend a great deal of time choosing keywords for your hubs. Do not get me wrong I love Google's Keyword Tool but I don't always use it. Is that smart of me? It all depends on how much traffic I am trying to generate and how much time I am willing to spend to generate that traffic. I have a great deal of ideas bouncing around in my head. Just today I have decided to write my next several hubs strictly on SEO. I still haven't decided how many consecutive hubs will be strictly on SEO but this is my fourth straight one.

Speeding up Google's Keyword Tool- Instead of spending time loading up Keyword tool and searching all of its terms you want to use their is a shortcut you can take that will save you a great deal of time. If you type in a search term in the search box it will tell you how many results for a given term,but if you type in the same phrase in quotations, it tells you the amount of results that are specific to that term.

You can play around with it and do a few quick searches if you don't want to spend too much time on the Google Tool.

• Be more specific- Do be as general about a subject but break it down even further. I have noticed when I am optimizing my hubs with the hub tool. It keeps breaking it down to more and more specific terms. If you are writing about guns per say. Write about guns from the 1800's or guns that are Old West collectibles. This will help you rank higher in search engine searches.
• Be Region Specific- If you are in Ohio and you want to write a hub about things to do in Ohio then maybe go further and write about a particular city. To break it down even further you can maybe write about what restaurants to visit in that particular city. Doing this basically increases your chances of being on top when someone searches for those specific terms.
