Stryker Interview Process

The Stryker interview is a complex array of questions thrown at you from every which direction.

1. The application- Medical device jobs always have a lengthy process when it comes to being hired. It may seem like a black hole for your resume but if you have the qualifications they are looking for they will call you.

2. The recruiters call

The recruiter will call you but will not interview you right away. The initial call or email will be to set an exact day and time they will call you to evaluate your work history. They will work around your schedule but if you don't answer that call, it is more than likely curtains for you. If the recruiter likes what you say and your qualifications match up then you will get access to the hiring manager for another interview. It is difficult to even get a face to face interview with a medical device company.

3. The Gallup tests. These test your ability to not lie! Well not completely but they want your honest opinion on every answer. One question might be how have you ever been late to work? You answer no then thirty questions later you get asked how many times have you been late to work in the last five years and you reply twice. That won't go over to well. The Gallups basically want to know the type of person you are and how you react to certain situations. One question that I recall was.. Would you rather be part of a team or a team leader? Don't let these questions get to you!

4. Do your research don't go in blind. Know as much as you can about Stryker and their mission. You can always try and contact a local Stryker rep and see if he or she will take a few minutes to talk or meet with you. Selling yourself in the interview is also crucial! If they say okay it was nice meeting you, you can't just leave it at that. You have to ask what the next step is and when you can follow up with them.
