Mother Saves Baby During Earthquake In Japan?
65
If you have ever been in an earthquake you know how terrifying it can be. I remember when I was in a huge earthquake in Los Angeles in the mid eighties and I thought my house got hit by a semi truck.
I thought I would share this recent story that has been circulating in the media about a mother who saved a child during an earthquake in Japan one of the rescuers saw her body through the cracks.
Something seemed strange, although the many people turn to God in tough times and pray on their knees. The way she was posing was odd, it made no sense, so the rescue workers went back. The rescue worker took the pieces of ruble around her and brushed it away. Through the narrow cracks they were able to break the pieces free. What they discovered was amazing, they found a baby underneath the mother.
The mother had made the ultimate sacrifice any human could make. She risked her life or I should say gave her life to save her child. A doctor rushed to the scene and the baby was freed. They found a cell phone in the blanket the baby was in. The cell phone had a message to her baby, saying to always remember how much she loved him! It is an incredible story, very heartwarming and it shows the spirit of humanity. My question to you is do you believe this story is true or is it just another hoax?

would a woman dying of her injuries be able to find, let alone use, a cell phone amid the wreckage of a building that suddenly came down upon her? As she continued to try to hold the weight of the debris off her child? Which she was attempting to do by bracing both her arms against the ground so as to create a protective space underneath her for the baby?
Using a cell phone even one-handed would have risked the child's life, as even a smallish shift in position could have caused a further catastrophic collapse.

This hub is awesome - I can't actually see the keyboard because I'n crying! It's one of those stories that is tragic but also has joy that the baby lived but also a deep appreciation of the spirit and courage of a Mother!
