Most Popular Facebook Games
The way Facebook is growing in popularity I couldn't help wonder about the gaming. What is Facebook's most popular game. Everytime I am on Facebook I read a message about it. Melinda has just fired Mike in Cafe World. Do you have what it takes to join Melinda and hustle your way to the top? Flippin virtual burgers doesn't seem exciting to me but I figured I would give one of these games a shot. I told myself "forget about it" and signed up to play Mafia Wars. It took me about fifteen minutes just to pick a name, not because it was difficult but because you have to have something authoratative. Imagine if you were playing this game and your were in the middle of a street fight, fighting for your life. All of a sudden a message appears on the screen, your crime family has been severely beaten up by buttercup and his crew. A weak name doesn't hold much weight in the streets nor in Mafia Wars.
Their are many other games on Facebook. The company that is raking in a great deal of the profit is Zynga. Speaking of raking, Zynga also produces a game named Farmville which is a virtual farming game. How many people play Farmville, you ask? Well let's just say a little over 70 million people engage in farming on Farmville. This game isn't a game for slackers, you have to stay on top of your crops or they will wither and die. One way to quickly gain some ground in this virtual farming community is by obtaining virtual money. Did I forget to mention that people pay real money out of their pockets for virtual money. Yes you read that correctly, people pay money for virtual tractors and other items. Another way to obtain virtual cash is by agreeing to some kind of terms with an advertiser. The great thing about online games for advertisers is, that they have your captive attention. Having a captive audience is key to online sucess. I don't think I will be dealing with any backhoes anytime soon or buying imaginary goods but I might shank someone in Mafia Wars. Do you play a Facebook game? My 13yr old daughter is always on Farmville, I haven't tried it but it does look a lot of fun, with the cute little animals. I won't let her buy anything though. You can also interact with other facebook friends on the game.
I might give it a shot. We will see, it might keep me from writing hubs. Make sure your daughter shares the computer with you.
Yes, she is very good with sharing. You are right though, it might stop you from writing hubs, as a lot of time can be wasted on games like these.
Hopefully an argument won't break out if she has to take care of her crops while mommy is writing a hub.

after using long time FB I felt bore but now I go there only for play games I usually play Mafia, Cafe , Pairets of Caribbean and farm ville

I'm a Farmville and Cafe World addict. I actually got anxious during a court appearance last week because I was worried my plants were withering while I was away from my office computer! Then I was talking to the judge at a luncheon one day and found out he plays Farmville also. 70 million players? That's really astounding.
Scrabble is great, I haven't tried any other games they all look a bit silly.
Scrabble is always a classic.
Miss Belgavria that is funny stuff. You know you can customize the Farmville shirt into a womans shirt or even a mouse pad.
FarmVille is my favorite. It appeals to my obsessive nature. Plus, there's something strangely addictive about having your own plot of virtual land and being able to rearrange it, grow plants on it that begin from seeds and then slowly mature into saleable crops, and have virtual animals.
One of the fascinating things I give kudos to the Zynga team for is the November Sweet Seeds for Haiti campaign. They sold seeds for sweet corn that never would wither and turned a hefty virtual coin profit for their farmers.
The catch? People had to pay real money to purchase them. The good thing was that half of all the proceeds went to benefit impoverished children in Haiti by providing meals and improving their school's cafeteria.
If some good can come of so many people's need to entertain themselves, then all the better.
I think Zynga could create an offline mode of the FarmVille for use in schools or to be marketed to children as an educational tool. The game teaches basic life skills such as budgeting and planning ahead while keeping it fun with its cartoon animals and sparkling animation.

I like Farmville, CafeWorld Mafia Wars and Pirates and Treasure Island. And yes I do spend way too much time playing these games, but I don't buy anything with real money, but I know a lot of people do.

Mafia Wars is definitely popular on FB as well as Farmville. I personally play Zynga poker on there alot, but haven't touched Farmville. Great hub!
