Jet Blue Interview process
If you are wondering how to get hired at Jet Blue, you have come to the right place!
The Jet Blue Interview starts off with a phone interview as most large airlines do. Once you submit your application, it is reviewed and you are contacted if interest is shown. The phone interview won't last very long, it is just to get basic information from you about your work history but more importantly it is to hear what your are like. Flight attendants have to be cheery and have a great personality. Airlines are not looking to hire a bunch of stiffs.
What happens after the phone interview?
This is a question that looms in the mind of everyone who is lucky enough to actually get the phone interview. You have to remember that hundreds of people apply for these positions pretty much everyday or so. After the phone interview usually you will have a waiting period but no set time is definitive. It could be one week it could be three or four. Don't be discouraged, during this process your application for Jet Blue will read under consideration. Just remember under consideration is better than not under consideration. This long wait is usually because of an extensive background check that has to be done to clear you to fly.
The actual interview will determine whether you are fit for the position. During the interview you will be asked a series of questions. What Jet Blue is looking for is a person with personality, good work ethic and customer service oriented. You will also have to be good under pressure. Flight attendants may have to deal with unpleasant and or dangerous situations. Much more emphasis is being put on possible hostage situations and training for that possibility. A flight attendant at Jet Blue has to be able to be cool under pressure especially when dealing with situations like hostile passengers or loss of cabin pressure. They have to be calm and be able to reassure passengers and keep them calm.
The final step-
Jet Blue Airlines training
This training is conducted in Orlando Florida not a surprise since half of corporate America always finds an excuse to go to Florida for some reason or another. The training is four weeks long and you are trained and then given several test that you must pass with a score of 80% at minimum. Anything less will have you packing your bags! If you achieve the 80% score you are on your way to becoming a flight attendant at Jet Blue. I have just added another link to site below that is a great help for flight attendant interviews!
