How To Filter Your Google Ads

By

Sometimes Your Ads Need A Bandaid

It is really easy to filter your Google Adsense ads. Why would you want to filter your Google ads? Does Google not know how to place the ads properly? Google does an excellent job providing excellent contextual content. The two reasons you would want to filter ads are the following.

1. You don't want to advertise a competitor's product.

2. You don't feel the ads are appropriate for your site.

In the first example you might me a small company who has set up a website to sell a dating service. Running competitive adsĀ for a major dating site would more than likely only result in loss bussines. Filtering your ads will complement your dating service and add revenue.

The second example might be a person who writes a blog or an article about Christianity. I am willing to bet that this individual doesn't want provocative ads plastered all over theirĀ blog or article.

Here is how you combat both of these situations

Step 1. Sign in to your Google Adsense Account www.adsense.com

Step 2. Click on the Adsense Setup tab, it is the second tab from the left.

Step 3. Click on Ad Review Center, it is located underneath the tabs to the far right. When you click on this you will see a list populate. I have provided an example of what the list looks like below from Google's site. Just check the boxes that correspond to the ads you do not want and they will be removed from your website or article.
