Casa Vega Restaurant
Where ever people consider Casa Vega to be, Casa Vega LA, Casa Vega Sherman Oaks or Casa Vega Studio City, they can all agree they love it. I would have to say Casa Vega has one of the best bars in the Valley if not all of LA.
What makes Casa Vega so great?
Well the food I would say is just okay. It isn't the best Mexican food I have ever had nor are they the best drinks. They do have a great variety and they also have a very wide selection of alcohol. Food and drink is always about opinion. I have heard lots of people raving about the food so I think you should try it for yourself. They do have a great happy hour where margaritas are around five dollars. You can't beat that price especially in Los Angeles.
The Margaritas come in a wide array of flavors and they even serve them up blended if you like. The restaurant is usually jam packed and full of a real eclectic crowd. Casa Vega has a tremendous amount of celebrity sightings. If you are from out of town or just have that paparazzi desire living inside of you then you should probably hang at Casa Vega. The last time I was there I was in the bathroom and these guys were all going crazy. I guess Jimmy Kimmel had been in the bathroom at the same time.
The bar at Casa Vega
This is where it gets good, really good. First of all the bar small and quaint and stuffed with like fifteen leather stools. If you don't move fast you will be standing all night. The atmosphere is really laid back and everyone is mingling. Most of the bar patrons are just waiting for a seat at a table but a few are in for the long haul. The bar is filled with fun people that are looking to drink and have fun. I usually just post up in the corner throw down a couple of cold ones and dissapear into the night. I have only stayed for a few hours once or twice and I had lots of fun but its just to far from home. Below I included a picture of Jessica Simpson leaving Casa Vega just in case you thought I was pulling your chain about celebrities at a mexican restaurant. I think I saw Jessica wink at me that night. It was just right after she had squeezed a lime that sprayed into her eye but it was still a wink. Okay I wasn't there when Jessica was there but if your in La check out Casa Vega and stay until the end.
