The Google Sandbox And Search Engine Traffic
What is the infamous Google Sandbox? How does the Google Sandbox effect your Search Engine Optimization?
A long time ago I wrote an article that I thought would get a decent amount of traffic. The article was about the pros and cons of going away to college. It didn't get much love from the search engines and it made me feel like I completely wasted my time. Time and time again I thought about deleting it. I thought it was a fairly decent topic, thousands of kids go away for school and thousands of parents weigh out the option of sending their kids away every year.
Just last month I was going to hit the delete button and be gone with the article but I said hey I might get a hit their and a hit somewhere. Very little traffic to a hub is similar to seeing a penny on the floor. It probably isn't worth bending over to pick it up but if you have a million pennies together than you will be a happy camper.
Today my article is ranked on the first page of Google and it receives a nice amount of traffic every day and I am thankful I didn't delete it. What changed? Why am I getting traffic now? I didn't change the tags, I didn't add to the article it just mysteriously gained traffic. Could it have been the Google Sandbox? It takes time for search engines to find your work and it takes time to create back links and it takes time for those search engines to find the links that have been created. The lesson here is be patient and have fun like you were at the park, like a kid in a sandbox.

I am heartened as well, especially since your you as an author are rated so highly. Time and patience are hard, especially for new hubbers that want to make money but maybe worth it in the end. I hate guessing but if it works to just do your best and wait, its hard to argue with success.
Thanks for the advice. It gives me hope for those little guys that seem to never get any traffic!
That's a wonderful news. You give me hope successfulblogger.
That's something to benefit readers and crucial for those who start working online.
well... all my high rank article in google search has been vanished... and my site visitor has drop
Thanks for the information. I have seen my Google traffic come and go, be nice, then dry up. If there is nothing that we can do, then I will ignore the views. I still want to know how people get large views, though. I have tried everything.
Thanks for the article! I checked and I'm in the sandbox. Just wondering how I can get out? Thanks for the information this was a great hub!
I too have articles I have thought about deleting. Perhaps I should let them sit and stagnate. Thanks for the inspiration. I wonder how one knows for sure if they are in the sandbox or if it is simply time building trust.
